1. Bookings and tickets
Your booking is with The Margate Caves Community Education Trust (“The Margate Caves”) and is confirmed once payment has been received and your booking confirmation issued. Please check your date, arrival time and children’s names carefully before booking. Eventbrite booking fees apply in addition to our advertised ticket prices.

2. Children, adults and babies
Every child receiving a gift from Father Christmas requires a Child ticket. Babes in arms under 12 months may attend free when accompanying a child with a paid ticket, provided they do not require their own gift. All children aged 12 months and over require a Child ticket. Each family/group booking includes up to two accompanying adults free of charge. Additional adults cost £5 each plus booking fee.

3. Family and group bookings
Children wishing to visit Father Christmas together must be included on the same booking and time slot. Please do not make separate bookings to obtain additional free adult places; separate bookings cannot be combined on the day.

4. Father Christmas’s Cosy Cave
A maximum of six people may enter Father Christmas’s Cosy Cave at one time, including children, adults and babies. Larger groups may enjoy the trail and activities together, but some adults will need to wait immediately outside the Cosy Cave. Your visit with Father Christmas is private to your family/group.

5. Children and supervision
Children aged 15 and under must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult throughout their visit. The Margate Caves is a historic heritage site and all visitors must follow reasonable safety instructions from our team.

6. Arrival times and late arrivals
Your booked time is your arrival time, not the time you will meet Father Christmas. Please arrive promptly. If you miss your booked time, unfortunately we cannot admit you later or move you to another session, and no refund will be given.

7. Refunds and changes
Tickets are non-refundable and cannot be moved to another date or time, except where we cancel the event or where you are otherwise entitled to a refund by law. Children’s names cannot normally be changed once booked.

If The Margate Caves cancels your event, we will offer a full refund or, subject to availability, the opportunity to move to another date. This does not affect your statutory rights.

8. Changes to the event
We reserve the right to make reasonable changes to activities, routes, timings or other arrangements where necessary for operational, safety or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

9. Offers and discounts
Offers and discounts are subject to the conditions stated when offered, may be limited by time or quantity and cannot be applied retrospectively. Unless otherwise stated, offers cannot be used together.

10. Behaviour
Christmas at the Caves is a family event and visitors must behave respectfully towards other families, our staff and volunteers. We reserve the right to refuse admission or require a visitor to leave where their behaviour is abusive, threatening, aggressive, unsafe or disruptive.

We may also refuse admission or require a visitor to leave where they appear to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs and we consider their behaviour or condition may present a risk or adversely affect other families’ enjoyment. No refund will be given in these circumstances.
