The Margate Caves are run by The Margate Caves Community Education Trust, a registered charity.

Our success to date in negotiating a long lease on the Caves site, building a Visitor Centre and Community Rooms, as well as conserving the Caves for future generations, is thanks to our committed volunteers, generous professional team and the continued support of funders and the general public.

Support from members of the public, companies and charitable organisations will help us to improve our facilities, continue with our conservation work and further develop our learning and events programmes.

We are looking for volunteers interested in undertaking a variety of roles including: admitting visitors in the Centre; guiding visitors through the Caves; working in the shop; assisting in the busy Café; administration for the community rooms; gardening and maintenance; or maybe you have other skills you can offer!

In return we can offer you training, the opportunity to develop your skills and gain experience volunteering at a heritage site, a chance to meet new people and to be part of an exciting and interesting project that benefits our local community.

We are a small friendly team and if you feel you can help us do a good job we would love to hear from you.
