Archaeological Dig Begins – Volunteers Welcome!

A very chilly first day on site for the team from SWAT Archaeology. The focus today has been on getting the little digger on site and starting to remove top soil.
We expect that two trenches will be opened above ground and volunteers can simply turn up from 10am. The working day will be 10am-4pm and SWAT will supply some trowels, buckets and kneelers for people that do not have their own – but if you have any of that kit do bring it along.
